Independent Vehicle Inspection Services
Book PDI NOW provides independent vehicle inspection and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) services to customers purchasing or considering purchasing new, used, electric and commercial vehicles.
Book PDI NOW is an independent vehicle inspection service and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or responsible for any vehicle manufacturer, automobile dealer, showroom, seller, insurance company, finance company or other third party, unless expressly stated in writing.
Independent Inspection Service
Book PDI NOW provides inspection services through its own inspection team and/or authorised or independent Car PDI Experts, Inspectors, Evaluators or Service Partners, depending upon the location and availability.
The person conducting the physical inspection may be different from the person preparing, reviewing or delivering the final report.
Purpose of Inspection
The purpose of the inspection is to identify observable and reasonably detectable discrepancies, defects, damage, cosmetic issues, functional abnormalities and other relevant observations within the selected inspection package.
An inspection is an assessment of the vehicle's condition at a particular time and location.
It is not a guarantee that the vehicle is completely free from defects.
Inspection Limitations
The inspection is limited to components, systems and areas that are:
- Accessible at the time of inspection;
- Reasonably visible or detectable;
- Included within the selected inspection package; and
- Safe and technically practical to inspect.
Book PDI NOW does not normally dismantle, open, remove or disassemble vehicle components. Accordingly, the inspection may not identify:
- Hidden or latent defects;
- Internal mechanical or electrical defects;
- Intermittent faults that are not present during inspection;
- Defects concealed by repair, modification or tampering;
- Problems requiring dismantling;
- Future failures or deterioration;
- Defects that cannot reasonably be detected under the inspection conditions.
New Car PDI
A New Car PDI is intended to identify observable issues before vehicle delivery, including where applicable:
- Exterior and interior condition;
- Paint and panel observations;
- Transportation-related damage;
- Tyres and wheels;
- Lights and electrical functions;
- AC and basic functional checks;
- Instrument cluster and warning indicators;
- Accessible equipment and features;
- Vehicle identification details;
- Basic physical and functional observations.
The PDI does not constitute a manufacturer's quality certificate, warranty inspection or certification that the vehicle is defect-free.
Used Car Inspection
Used Car Inspection provides an independent assessment of the observable and reasonably detectable condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.
Unless specifically included in the selected package, Book PDI NOW does not independently guarantee:
- Accident history;
- Ownership history;
- Service history;
- Odometer authenticity;
- Insurance history;
- Legal status;
- Registration history;
- Previous repairs;
- Flood/fire history; or
- Future reliability or performance.
EV Inspection
EV inspection is limited to the checks included in the selected EV inspection package. Unless specifically stated in the report, Book PDI NOW does not certify:
- Individual battery cell health;
- Battery degradation percentage;
- Battery State of Health (SOH);
- BMS condition;
- Future battery life;
- Future driving range; or
- Future battery performance.
Any battery-related observation is subject to the equipment, diagnostic access and information available at the time of inspection.
Commercial Vehicle Inspection
Commercial vehicle inspection is limited to the scope selected by the customer.
Specialised regulatory, load-bearing, structural, operational, fitness, permit or statutory inspections are excluded unless expressly included in the selected package.
Inspection Report
The Inspection Report represents observations made during the inspection at the stated date, time and location.
The report may contain photographs, measurements, test results, diagnostic observations and comments where applicable.
Photographs and observations are intended to support the inspection findings and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of the complete condition of the vehicle.
Expert Opinion
Any opinion, assessment, recommendation or comment provided by a PDI Expert or Inspector represents that individual's professional observation based on the information and conditions available during the inspection.
Different inspectors or technical professionals may reasonably have different opinions regarding a vehicle.
An expert's observation should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future vehicle condition or performance.
Customer's Final Decision
Book PDI NOW does not make the final decision for the customer. The customer remains solely responsible for deciding whether to:
- Purchase the vehicle;
- Accept or reject delivery;
- Register the vehicle;
- Insure the vehicle;
- Negotiate the purchase price;
- Repair the vehicle; or
- Continue using the vehicle.
Dealer / Seller / Owner Access
Inspection activities depend upon reasonable access to the vehicle.
If a dealer, seller, owner, showroom, workshop or other premises operator does not permit a particular inspection activity, the relevant limitation may be recorded in the report. Book PDI NOW cannot guarantee access to every part of a vehicle or premises.
Third-Party Information
Where information is provided by a dealer, seller, manufacturer, workshop, insurance provider, registration authority or other third party, such information may be recorded where relevant.
Book PDI NOW does not independently guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information supplied by third parties unless expressly verified through an applicable independent source.
No Future Guarantee
The inspection reflects the condition observed at the time of inspection only.
Vehicle condition may subsequently change because of use, accident, repair, modification, environmental conditions, wear and tear or other circumstances. Book PDI NOW does not guarantee future reliability, performance, resale value or condition.
No Manufacturer Affiliation
All vehicle manufacturers, brands, logos, model names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Book PDI NOW is an independent inspection service and does not claim any association, endorsement or authorisation from a vehicle manufacturer unless expressly stated.
Re-Inspection / Report Review
If a customer believes that an important observation within the agreed inspection scope has been incorrectly recorded or omitted, the customer should contact Book PDI NOW within 24 hours of receiving the report.
Any review will be limited to the original inspection scope, available photographs/data and conditions existing at the time of the original inspection. A fresh physical inspection may be chargeable where a new inspection is required.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Book PDI NOW shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential or future losses arising from the purchase, ownership, use, repair, resale or subsequent condition of a vehicle based solely on reliance upon an inspection report.
Where liability is legally established against Book PDI NOW in relation to the inspection service, the maximum aggregate liability shall, subject to applicable law, ordinarily be limited to the inspection service fee actually paid for the relevant inspection.
Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
